New Delhi 12^th June 2018: Avishkaar Box, an Ed-Tech company, working on creating an ecosystem to create immersive learning experiences that encourage innovation has announced ‘Avishkaar Summer Internship Camp’ for students. The company has also raised Rs. 5 crore in Pre Series A funding early this year.

The objective of holding this internship program was to encourage students to explore and learn the nitty gritties of research & development behind the every product and enlighten them on how an organization works to achieve a common goal. Through this internship Avishkaar Box will also highlight the bright career opportunities STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) offers.

For the internship camp, Avishkaar Box received more than 100 entries out of which only 7 interns are selected for the program. In 7 interns, five are 9th to 12th graders and two are B.Tech students which successfully cleared the written test and 3 rounds of telephonic interviews by HR and Team Leads. The selected students were asked questions like ‘instance when they faced any challenge in school/college’, What was the situation? What did you have to do? Why should we consider you for this internship/ Camp? Where would you see yourself 10 years from now?

According to Mr. Tarun Bhalla, Founder & CEO, “We are delighted to see the tremendous responses from the students for the Avishkaar Box Internship Program. It was very difficult for us to shortlist the interns as we had limited number of seats. But this also showed that the future generation is quite keen to learn about robotics from the basic level so that there foundation can be strong if they choose STEM subjects as their career”.

He further added “receiving of more than 100 entries for just 7 seats shows that Avishkaar Box is moving in the right direction towards developing an ecosystem to create immersive learning experiences that encourage innovation”.

Under this internship program, interns will be working in multiple departments would learn the Innovative Projects which will involve Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Designing of Manuals for Electronics, Mechanical & Robotics, Exposure to Practical Laboratory classes in schools, Content Writing on Robotics, Content Marketing campaigns, social Media marketing strategy and Brand promotion with experiential marketing.

Avishkaar Box is one of the foremost players to set up Atal Tinkering Labs – (ATL) (a project of Govt. of India which includes supplies of Education tinkering and Robotic kits

to over 2400 Schools across India). The company has also been conducting the IRC League, a league that aims to challenge young and creative minds by giving them problems to solve and build a better world for tomorrow using the tools of Science and Technology, since the year 2009.

At present, Avishkaar Box has a presence in more than 400 schools pan-India in addition to 125 Tinkering Labs set up (15% of the labs that have been established so far) across the country. Avishkaar Box inspired more than 40,000 students in the last year alone through its IRC League and various other innovation platforms.
