New Delhi, April 5: Manav Rachna University (MRU) and Daikin Air-Conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. The ‘Daikin Centre of Excellence’ was inaugurated today at the MRU campus by Mr. Kanwal Jeet Jawa, CEO & MD, Daikin India in the presence of Mr. K D Virmani, Sr. Vice-President, Daikin India; Mr. APS Gandhi, GM – Training & Development and Customer Service, Daikin India; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRU and other senior dignitaries.
While inaugurating the Centre, Mr. Kanwal Jeet Jawa said: “This partnership is aimed at upgrading training in Air Conditioning to international standards. We at Daikin are committed towards excellence in technology and quality; and this initiative shall provide a platform to students to enhance their skills and get access to world-class training in Air conditioning. I am glad that post training at this facility, students will gain the status of an employable work force. I convey my best wishes for their placement into various organizations.”
Most often, the Air-Conditioning industry is challenged by the availability of technically skilled workforce. This Centre will ensure hands-on practical exposure for the students and help them acquire the new technologies being practiced in the air-conditioning industry including the VRV technology, R-32 refrigerant and inverter technology. Daikin is already a global leader in these technologies.
Congratulating the students and faculty members, Dr. Amit Bhalla said: “Manav Rachna has always believed in providing cutting edge technology to its students to prepare them as future leaders and technocrats of tomorrow. We already have state-of-the-art research labs and Centres of Excellence that have been grooming our students for competitions & projects, publishing papers, sponsored R&D projects and training in advanced areas. This tie-up with Daikin, the global leaders in the air-conditioning industry is just another step in that direction”.
