Noida, March 10, 2017: Design and Innovation Academy (DIA) School of Communication along with Salaam Namaste 90.4 organised a theme based programme named “Womenia” at their campus recently. The prominent personalities who have been adjudged the best in their respective fields were honoured with awards which comprises of eminent Kathak Duo Nalini and Kamlini, DID supermom Preeti Khetan, beauty expert Bharti Taneja, Ex-Lieutenant Ritu Gangwani, renowned woman wrestler Babita Nagar, the Director of Petals School Preeti Kwatra and Dr. Upasana.

Nalini and Kamlini started the show with the beautiful quote “Asma jitna bhi jhuke zameen ho nei sakta aur zameen jitni bhi uthe asman ko chhu nehi sakti, magar phir bhi saath saath chalte hai. Mohobhat ki isse achi missal ban nei sakti.” (No matter how much the sky bows, it cannot resemble the earth and no matter how much the earth tries, it cannot touch the sky. Addressing to the students, she added that without men, women are incomplete and without women, the nature is incomplete. She also said women should never be the reason for a problem but once it happens, destruction is inevitable.
During the programme, Ms. Dipti Pant, Executive Director of DIA addressed the students and said, “Women are no less than men. For the drastic change in the society, the contribution of women is priceless.”

Beauty expert Bharti Taneja said to the students, “You should not be the person how the society portrays you; you are the one you want to be. Your dreams are in your hand, you are the one who can make your dreams come true.”
Womenia was mesmerized by the beautiful voice of Nikita, followed by the group dance performance of Niharika, Surbhi, Vaidika, Asika and Vani which set the stage on fire. Nalini and Kamlini showcased one of the important aspects of women ‘Parda’ by presenting a magnificent dance performance.
