“According to statistics, 15.2% of India’s population has no access to nutritious food and is facing a severe health crisis. Through this food donation drive, we aim to contribute our bit and feed as many people as we can. I urge people to come forward and donate whatever they can”, said Rishabh Malik, a student who is part of the group

“This is an amazing initiative by the students and we are in full support of this as it also helps us to achieve the SDG – “Food for all”, said ED, DLF Foundation.

The initiative is a brainchild of 4 children of Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon. Rishabh Malik, Gariman Sharma , Shreya Gupta, Kabir Singh

They visited the Earth Saviors Foundation and interacted with the inmates to understand their what is their(delete) need and requirements. Basis that a list of items required was penned down. The items are collected keeping the requirements in mind. Also, the items can be used over a period of time as they are non-perishable in nature and with a long expiry date. The students are currently engaged in developing a sensor-based app, wherein once the Food collection carton is half full and full, alert will go to the student volunteer and Earth Savior Foundation representatives to come for the collection of Food items for their inmates. The students would leave a legacy behind once they graduate out of school so that the good initiative is carried out forever as a mark of their small contribution for a good cause.
