Manav Rachna University and Xebia join hands to offer new-age courses

  • To offer industry integrated B. Tech programs in Data Science & Machine Learning and Digital Transformation

New Delhi, February 5: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between Manav Rachna University (MRU) and Xebia, a Dutch based specialized global IT Consultancy and Services Company. Under this collaboration, MRU will offer two new-age digital programs: B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Data Science & Machine Learning and B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Digital Transformation Engineering.

The MoU was signed between Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRU and Mr. Anand Sahay, Director & CEO of Xebia in the presence of Mr. Ashok Fenn, Executive Director, Xebia; Mr. Shashi Prakash, Director Alliances, Xebia; Mr. Jaydeep Singh, Senior Adviser, Xebia; Dr. V K Mahna, ED, Quality Assurance, MREI; Dr. Meenakshi Khurana, PVC, MRU and other senior functionaries.

Xebia will support MRU in curriculum design, faculty training and provide internships and placements for students pursuing the above programs. These programs shall be offered from the Academic Session 2018-19.

MRU

The curricula for the B. Tech specialization in Digital Transformation Engineering is created with an intent to educate the engineering students on the cutting-edge technologies,  besides learning about HTML5, Angular4, Test Automation, Estimation Techniques, Agile Practices, and Cloud Computing.

The program on Data Science & Machine Learning will focus on enhancing Mathematical Foundations, Statistical Foundations, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Applied Artificial Intelligence.

Addressing students on this occasion, Mr. Anand Sahay shared the latest industry trends and skills that students of Computer Science & Engineering must develop. He urged the students to keep themselves updated with the industry happenings and contribute through social networks on a daily basis.
