Campus
The NIIT University campus is nestled in the Aravali range in Rajasthan, considered to be the oldest fold mountain range in the world. A Master Plan ought to take cognizance of the needs of the site as well as the requirements of the University. The NU Master plan, path breaking in its vision and ambitious in implementation, prepares for just that. This particular site at Neemrana posed several challenges. The master plan was developed after due consideration of environmental impact. It respects the natural flows through the site and breaks fresh ground for promoting sustainable development. It allows phased construction of the University to start from the north side and continue towards the south.
Events
The campus of NIIT University is alive with a full calendar of events throughout the year. The events are organized co-operatively by students, faculty and staff of the NU family. The events on campus can culture, adventure, sports, etc. Some of these events are: IngeNUity, Tritone, Audacity, Chai & Why, Activity Week, Festival Celebrations, Adventure trips, Photography trips, Inter-house competitions, Inter-batch competitions, League matches.
Facilities
The fully residential NU campus is designed to have all facilities that are needed to lead an enriched life. They span from numerous outdoor and indoor sports facilities to 24 x 7 tuck shops and ATMs. The academic facilities include labs and libraries and a Wi-Fi campus providing access to the internet via PCs, laptops and mobile devices.
NU encourages the students to explore and walk that extra mile, not in someone else’s shoes but in their own. To this end, there are adequately equipped teaching labs and a library with access to books and journals – both in print form and online. The online access is campus-wide hence enabling the students to refer journal material in classroom, labs as well as in their hostel rooms.
The NU Campus has a cafeteria and a tuck shop to cater to varied tastes of students and staff. A unique students venture called ‘Tera Mera Point’ (TMP) serves as the night café for the students who wish to replenish themselves while studying at late night hours.
Hostel have facilities like Wi-Fi enabled campus provides access to University’s On-Line Library and Information Resource Centre within the hostel rooms. There are common rooms on each floor of the hostels, with TV. Separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. All girls’ hostels are single-bed accommodation with common toilets. Boys hostel have a combination of single/double/triple bed accommodation with common toilets.
Medical Facilities
The NU campus is equipped to handle common health problems needing medical attention as well as medical emergencies. The Health Centre on the campus is manned by a Medical Assistant round-the-clock. A medical doctor is available for two hours in a day on all working days. In case of emergency a student is promptly evacuated to Kailash Hospital in the Emergency Vehicle and is accompanied by a Hostel Warden/University Staff.
Placement
The Centre for Industry Collaboration (CIC) at NU assists NUtons (Students of NU) in their endeavours to enrich their education, careers and lives. NUtons achieve better placements due to its industry linked curriculum and programmes. Today NU is known as one of the most preferred partners for the industry and works with 421 leading organizations for placements and industry practice for the students.
This year they have shown 100% placement with average package of 4.63 LPA. In domestic region highest package was of 11 LPA and international package was of 47,95,000 LPA (60,000 EURO). Companies those appeared this year are Amazon, Dell, TCS, Havells, WIPRO, Titan, Coca-Cola, Bentley, Zydus, Big Basket and many more.
