Tite renewed Contract to Coach Brazil again for World Cup 2022

Tite is set to be Brazil coach throughout their 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ campaign, after the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced on Wednesday a four-year contract renewal for the 57-year-old.

After being appointed in 2016, Tite helped Coach Brazil to a series of impressive results during qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, only for the five-time world champions to suffer a quarter-final exit in Russia with a 2-1 defeat against Belgium.

Tite’s first challenge will be to win the Copa America in 2019 when Brazil hosts the tournament.
Brazil will begin their post-World Cup rehabilitation with a series of friendlies, the first of which is against the United States in New Jersey on September 7.

The 57-year old described the role as “a great challenge” that he is “happy to face”.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) says it is “investing in a long-term project” and has also extended the contract of former Arsenal midfielder Edu, who acts as the team’s general manager.
