Aims to raise Rs. 2 lakh on the crowdfunding campaign ImpactGuru
Mumbai based brother-sister duo Aarav Gupta and Krisha Gupta decided to collaboratively take on a unique initiative towards the well-being of underprivileged children. Aarav, Grade 9 student from Podar International School and Krisha, Grade 7 student from Jamnabai Narsee School, felt the necessity to reach out to their peers that belong to the economically weaker sections of the society. Aarav and Krisha thus initiated an ImpactGuru crowdfunding campaign to support children from Guru Virjanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya School, a low budget Arya Samaj school, about 3-4 km away from the city of Jalandhar, Punjab.

Guru Virjanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya School has 220+ students and serves children of the EWS society from all over India. Aarav and Krisha, during their growing up years used to visit the School with their Grandmother. The siblings continued to keep themselves up-to-date about the School’s happenings, since then.
The ongoing covid-19 crisis has brought to the fore financial difficulties for Guru Virjanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya School. The School has been providing the children with lodging, boarding, education, and healthcare as many have not returned home, however, the School is falling short of funds to continue in their mission. Aware of their plight, Aarav and Krisha took to crowdfunding with the intent to raise funds to support the School in their time of need. Their efforts have so far led to several supporters cumulatively contributing Rs. 1.29 lakh on the ImpactGuru page.
