The graduating class of 2016 gets chosen by top universities abroad with an overall scholarship amounting to 1.3 million US$ Bengaluru, 21 May, 2016 – 51 students from the 20th graduating class of (CIS), Bangalore, were awarded IB Diploma and CIS Diploma yesterday, at its graduation day held at the auditorium – The Odeum.

This year, the graduating students from CIS Bangalore have been accepted in the top universities like University of Nottingham, University of Rochester, Boston University, Parsons University, Eindhoven University, University of Birmingham, Edinburgh Napier University, University of Dundee, and Queen’s University. The total scholarship received by the students is over 1.3 million US Dollars.
Out of 51 students from the “Class of 2016” who graduated this year, 4 students received complete tuition waiver of nearly 1,60,000 US$ per year. Shivam Sinha will be studying Communication Design in The New School – PARSONS School of Design, US, with a scholarship of 64,000US$/annum. This will cover his entire education. Also, Adit Ganguly has got into University of Rochester to study Biological Science with a scholarship amount of 160,000US$. Gayatri Ramesh Konakanchi, will be heading to the Suny Binghamton to study Engineering and has received a scholarship of 2500US$/Annum. Lastly, Venkat Nakuldev Reddy has got into Basani Rollins College, to peruse Economics with a scholarship of 15,000US$ per year.

I am glad my teachers and my school believed that I am worthy of the award. Now that a new journey awaits in New York, I am excited to meet new people and live in a different cultural environment altogether.”
