Job guarantee tops the priority list for freshers while choosing an upskilling program, as per BridgeLabz’s latest survey

Delhi, 16th May 2022: job gurantee remains a top priority when choosing a course.  India’s 1st and only marketplace for deep tech talent, BridgeLabz, surveyed fresh graduates to understand their preferences while taking up upskilling courses. The survey conducted among the sample size of 1100, wherein 72.13 per cent of participants were boys, and 27.87 per cent were girls, strongly indicated that a job guarantee remains a top priority for them when choosing a course.

90.20 per cent of respondents wanted upskilling courses with a job guarantee, and only 4.08 per cent were acceptable of the programme that did not offer a job guarantee. Similarly, 81.97 per cent of respondents feel that the crucial aspect to consider while choosing an online upskilling programme is the job guarantee. The rest, 4.10 per cent, prioritize scholarships, and 9.02 per cent prefer internships at the end of the course. Additionally, 85.71 per cent of the respondents feel opting for a programme that offers a job guarantee will enable them to land their dream job. 

Another interesting trend that emerged from the survey was that 71.31 per cent of graduates would opt for a course that gets them a job without an interview. 53.06 per cent want preparation for a job interview to be a part of the upskilling programme. 43.27 per cent want soft skills training, and 3.67 per cent want help with resume preparation.

53.06 per cent of respondents prefer online courses, while 23.27 per cent want offline systems, and the rest 23.67 per cent would opt for a hybrid model of upskilling courses.
