Kolkata, 10 th April, 2022: Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB climbs up the ladder in the employability index. Cyber Media Research (CMR) in association with Dataquest (DQ), the country’s oldest and most respected IT-ITeS industry journal regularly conducts a survey amongst various engineering colleges of India. The aim of this study is to determine the Top Technology (T) Schools (offering B.E., B.Tech. or similar undergraduate degree-level technical courses) in the country and rank them on a list of carefully selected parameters.

According to DQ-CMR Employability Index published in March 2022, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), WB features in the 7th position. No other institute from the state of West Bengal has been featured in this list. MAKAUT has been placed in the 8th position in the September, 2021 issue of Dataquest.

The DQ-CMR Top T-School Survey is a highly respected and pioneering barometer on the state of technical education in India. The T-School rankings, based on DQ’s Digital Marketing Framework PACE (Promote-Analyze-Convert-Engage) are much sought-after by the industry. It offers deep insights at a national level, as well as regional level, on the talent pool and where to hunt for the best talent.

The Employability Index gives a true picture of the technical education landscape in India and unravels key dynamics in terms of the skills the Tech Schools are creating for the IT industry and their standing in terms of academic excellence, placements, infrastructure etc.

Among the Top T-Schools in India in 2022 MAKAUT, WB has ranked second in the Eastern Zone. In this case, also no other institution from West Bengal has managed to secure any position.

Again, among the Top Government T-Schools in India in 2022, MAKAUT, WB has ranked 6th.

The overall ranking is 7th among the Top T-Schools of India in 2022 when both government and private institutions are taken into consideration.
