I am Madhav Reddy, a mechanical engineer from IIT-BHU and pursued my MBA from SP Jain Global in Supply Chain management. I have a total work experience of 9+ years working with Automotive leaders like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Supply Chain SaaS leader Blue Yonder. Around mid-2020, I have co-founded a tech-based EV start-up TRiDE Mobility with the objective to drive EV adoption in India by providing convenience to the customers on finger-tips and bringing cost-effective technology solutions to OEMs & Service providers in this space to scale their operations.

Before MBA, my early career role equipped me to devise strategies for business operations in the automotive channel partners I’ve handled. I have witnessed the impact of early digitalization in the automotive space and was fascinated with the way it can impact the overall business growth and scalability. I wanted to widen my horizon and felt the need to understand other aspects of business like Marketing, Production and Logistics as well. That’s when I decided to pursue my MBA in Supply Chain Management.

SP Jain was my partner of choice because they offered a global perspective of business through action based learning. The unique applied learning pedagogy that focuses not only on the in-class learnings but also on the application of these learnings through business simulations, field visits, industry interface projects and global immersion projects helped me develop competencies in areas of supply chain such as Network optimization, Strategic sourcing, Warehouse management, Transportation management, Lean management, Demand & Inventory management and Project management. It stimulates practical thinking through programs like Global Immersion projects. I applied my classroom learnings in the global immersion project on Predictive analytics in Supply Chain and its application in a real-world scenario in the automotive industry and in my industry interface project on Logistics Optimization and implementation of JIT (Just-In-Time) & VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory).  This experience in solving challenging real-world business problems helped me gain an international perspective and strong cross-cultural exposure expanding my horizon, creating a high-profile network and establishing my credibility post-graduation.

In addition, learning from SP Jain ‘s ingrown and outstanding faculty kept me abreast of cutting-edge technologies in my domain and the overall pedagogy served as a platform to exchange new ideas and business solutions between faculty, students and corporate community. My strong research-driven academic background with on-field experience in devising business development strategies made me a perfect fit for the program. The intensive SBR (Student board room) discussions on various case studies helped stretch my limits to think and provide solutions which increased my learning multifold.

The overall course helped to gain an understanding of the culture, way of functioning and business environment at three different most sought business destinations of the world – Singapore, Sydney and Dubai.  The various industrial visits and team-building events at all these locations contributed a lot to the overall learning.

Leveraging my learnings and past work experience I joined Blue Yonder (Formerly JDA Software) a company that is a leader in Supply Chain SaaS solutions as a Supply chain consultant. Within a couple of months of joining, I was moved on-site to design and deploy a Supply chain solution to a North American client and I was able to deliver the results and impact their KPIs. The supply chain learnings during the course helped me deliver outstanding results during the project. I’ve learned to function by instituting efficiency-enhancing measures while being interested in business nuances to find innovative solutions. It has helped me achieve considerable success, especially in Supply chain SaaS implementations with exponential impact on customer experience and business growth. In my overall stint at Blue yonder, I was involved in projects digitalizing the supply chains of some of the fortune 500 companies across the globe.

Based on my supply chain learnings and work experience in the automotive and Supply chain SaaS domain, I could quickly relate to the gaps hindering EV adoption in the then-nascent EV market from the perspective of customers & manufacturers. The idea of addressing these gaps by providing technology solutions building on my experience and taking sustainable mobility options nearer to the consumers coupled with a great market opportunity was the trigger point for me to start up. Currently utilizing our digital Market place EV consumers will be able to research, evaluate, compare, book a test drive, purchase and avail any EV services at the click of a button. We understand customer preferences and behaviour during their interaction on our platform and suggest the right products and services from research to resale.

I strongly believe that my decision to pursue an MBA at SP Jain global helped me equip myself with the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to identify the right opportunities and switch my career from an employee to an Entrepreneur with the objective of adding value to the key business stakeholders.
