The course in Music Production is aimed at getting students started with making music with Ableton Live 10, which is an industry standard and powerful digital audio workstation. Through the period of study, they will learn how to organize their musical ideas, increase workflow, and use real-world techniques to polish their final productions.

Speaking about the courses, Mr Aditya Balani, Director & Founder, Global Music Institute, said, “I’ve designed these courses keeping in mind an organised way to learn the information but keeping it fun, exciting and creative as well. The idea being that the students are able to directly apply the tools and techniques to their music right away. The courses will focus on not only strengthening fundamentals but also on learning advanced tools and processes. We’ll also be exploring techniques to translate ones studio production to the live stage.”

The Advance Music Production course is designed to help students get further training in the tools used in music production and enhance their practical knowledge of the subject. They will learn more about digital signal processing, dynamic processing, EQ techniques, mixing, mastering, and under-the-hood features of Live 10. They will also understand the dynamics of creating a unique sonic palette, and take the stage using Push, MIDI controllers, and external hardware synths/effects.

Music education at GMI is viewed as holistic learning experience that is important at every stage of a person’s life and development. All programmes have a contemporary focus where a variety of musical styles including jazz, pop, rock and blues are explored.
