21 PROs from the Ministry of Defence Join Made-in-India Platform – Koo

National, March 31, 2022: To engage and connect with people from across India in their native language and share updates on multiple initiatives, the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has enhanced its social media presence with 21 spokespersons opening accounts on multi-language micro-blogging platform – Koo. Along with the Principal Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, the PROs from Chennai, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jammu, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Palam, Pune, Shillong, Srinagar, Trivandrum and Vizag have opened individual accounts on Koo – which is the largest multi-language platform for self-expression. 

The Spokespersons will leverage Koo’s multi-lingual features to share updates by the Defence Ministry

Welcoming the PROs to the platform, a Koo Spokesperson, said, “We are truly honored that 21 Public Relations Officers from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, have come onto Koo – a platform which democratizes the voice of Indians. We are confident that our multi-lingual features will enable the PROs to share updates, initiatives and activities that are undertaken by the Ministry, and to engage with people from across the country in their local language and on a real-time basis.” 

The Koo App enables Indians to express themselves online in 10 languages – Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Assamese, Punjabi and English. The platform is well represented by several Government Departments and Union Ministries, and has over 7,000 eminent accounts from across politics, sports, entertainment, media, art & culture, spirituality, etc.
