As on 14 June World Blood Donor Day 2019 was again celebrated this year by different cities. A big step was taken by every citizen who is acquired to donate blood to save someone’s life in any circumstance. Rwanda is the host country for World Blood Donor Day 2019. The global event was held in Kigali, Rwanda on 14 June 2019. Here this transmission of blood saves so many lives of people every year.

World Blood Donor Day 2019 is helpful to all the ladies or women suffering from loss of bleeding due to pregnancy or child birth. To the children who are suffering from different disastrous disease like anaemia due to malaria and malnutrition, immune deficiency situations. Lack of haemoglobin, cataract patients lack of blood in eyes, patients who are undergoing in various different medical procedures, as this day provides the gift of survival to the person who is in difficulty.
Objective of World Blood Donor Day 2019 year’s campaign
The main motive of the campaign this year was the transmission of blood with lots of Safety.
1 To thank all the persons who have donated blood yet and encourage all those persons who haven’t donated yet.
2 To maintain all the necessary techniques which are required in the blood donating procedure.
3 To properly focus on the health of the donor as if he is willing to give blood regularly.
4 To mobilize support at national, regional and global levels among governments and development partners to invest in, strengthen and sustain national blood pro-grammes.

Who can donate Blood
At the age of 18 to 65 one person is allowed to donate blood. But in some countries ,age 16 -17 is , also permitted if they can match up with the different requirements that are required to donate a safe blood. As the person should not contain any kind of disease record in the previous few months. He /Her minimum weight should be of 50 kg. But as according to other countries the 45kg weight is also considerable.

In some countries, donors of whole blood donations should weigh at least 45 kg to donate 350 ml ± 10%. Females must have 12.0 g/dl haemoglobin while donating the blood and males must have 13.0 g/dl respectively. The person should not have any kind of infectious disease like cold, any kind of flu, sore throat, sneezing or any other infection.
If the female is pregnant or has already given birth to child then also she is not allowed to donate blood. After giving birth she is needed to wait for 3 months. If the person is concerning with dentist or the person is dealing with mouth issues for minor procedure then he has to wait for the 24 hrs for donating blood and if there is something major then wait for a month. And for information about donation requirements go through with the national/ local blood services.
