The brand has received this coveted certification for diversion rates exceeding 99% of waste to landfill from two manufacturing units situated at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Nirlep Appliances has achieved this important feat by implementing a holistic SOP for all its units in a sustained manner. This waste is usually disposed of by selling it to scrap dealers, who then sell it to recyclers. The brand was already following almost 70% of requirement to reduce landfill waste, but it aimed to achieve 100% efficiency to make a sustained impact.
