New Delhi: Regional round for ‘13th National Competition for young India’ was held at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini, New Delhi. Guest of honor V.K. Agarwal (Ex. GM – Indian Oil Corporation Ltd), Amrit Nath, CA – Ravi Rajan & Co. were amongst the jury member of the competition. Roshan Worth, Manager – CMD- AIMA, Poonam Rawat, Manager –CMD – AIMA, Dr. Sumesh Raizada Dean – PGDM, JIMS, and other faculty members from JIMS were present at the event. Total 22 teams participated in the competition from Delhi NCR Colleges. Some of the institutes which participated were JIMS, NDIM, IIHMR, LBS, IMS, Christ Institute, Rukmani Devi and Accurate to name a few.The teams which made to finale from Delhi regional round were JIMS Rohini Christ Institute and IMS Ghaziabad.

Huge participation was observed from students of engineering, management, media, and hospitality and commerce stream. Students pursuing graduation also applied for the same. There were teams of 2 students, each sharing their views and ideas on individual developmental goals linked to the societal goals and national goals. How government sector, private sector and educational institutes can harness human resources to make India a true creative superpower. Other topics were the roadmap for the educational institutes for the next 5 years etc. Owing 20 minutes, each team was given 10 minutes for oral representation via PPTs etc. and 10 minutes for Q&A by jury.
Top 3 teams each from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi regions will compete for the Grand Finale scheduled on 6th December at New Delhi. The top 3 National Winners and ‘Best Budding Manager’ will be awarded with cash prizes and trophies. This edition of the competition aimed to explore preparedness for the new age of knowledge economy and identify ways to harness the intellectual and institutional resources to make India a global superpower.
