Mumbai, October 11, 2021: VIBGYOR Group of Schools’ highly-acclaimed event, VIBGYOR Model United Nations (VIBGYORMUN), was hosted virtually for the second time this year.  The 11th edition of the conference was organised virtually to ensure safety of all the participants amid the pandemic, while promoting experiential learning. The proceedings of VIBGYORMUN were graced by His Excellency Mr. Bart de Jong, Consulate General, Netherlands, and Her Excellency Ms. Andrea Kuhn, Consulate General, South Africa.

Over 550 students from 44 schools from India and abroad participated in the two-day virtual event, and deliberated on various current issues, such as the use of the Pegasus spyware, regulating the use of autonomous weapon systems; the Rohingya Genocide; and combating the rise of domestic violence cases and gender inequality during the pandemic. Delegates with outstanding performance were recognised and awarded with certificates.

Speaking about the second edition of virtual VIBGYORMUN, Kavita Sahay Kerawalla, Vice Chairperson, VIBGYOR Group of Schools, said, “The long-term consequences of the pandemic, which will continue to shape the world for decades to come, will affect young people the most.
