Anant National University announces Anant Technology Prize 2022

Ahmedabad, 5th April 2022: Anant National University (AnantU), Ahmedabad, has announced the Anant Technology Prize 2022, an annual platform for high school students to think, intervene and offer technological solutions to climate change. The winner of this Prize will be awarded with direct entry into the final round of interviews for admission into the unique Bachelor of Technology specializing in Climate Technologies and be part of the exclusive MIT Solve global network.

Online Internship with Certification

This year, the Anant Technology Prize has identified three challenges to which students, participating either individually or in groups, will have to create a 5-minute video explaining their technology-led solutions. The challenges are a) Sustainable mobility for the student’s family b) Domestic waste sent to landfills in the student’s city c) Making effective climate predictions for the student’s city. Applicants will be required to submit their videos by 30th June 2022 to techprize@anu.edu.in.

Submissions to the Anant Technology Prize 2022 will be judged by a Jury Academy that comprises experts working at the nexus of climate and technology from across the world. The members of the Jury Academy are Dr. Alexander Dale, Lead, Sustainability and US Communities, MIT Solve; Dr. Ezhil Subbian, Chief Executive Officer, String Bio Pvt. Ltd.; Professor Priya Rajagopalan, PhD, MPH at University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Miniya Chatterji, CEO Sustain Labs Paris. The entries will be judged on the parameters of knowledge, innovation and scalability of the solution. The winner of the Anant Technology Prize 2022 will be awarded with direct entry into the final round of interviews for admission to AnantU’s Bachelor of Technology specializing in Climate Technologies where, they will have the opportunity to further develop their solutions at the state-of-the-art Climate Lab and be part of the MIT Solve global network.

Students who have completed their high school (passed 10+2 examination) in or after 2020 with a minimum of 70% marks, are eligible to participate in the Anant Technology Prize 2022. These students must have also studied Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Students can participate either as individuals or in groups. All applicants are required to first register themselves by filling out the registration form on the Anant Technology Prize website.

We invite all the young climate solutionaries to participate in the Anant Technology Prize contest and to demonstrate that the problem of climate change is solvable with the innovative spirit and intent of the youth of today.”

The World Economic Forum also supports the tremendous scope for jobs in the climate industry by forecasting that India’s transition to a green economy could potentially create 50 million jobs by 2070 representing upwards of a $15 trillion economic opportunity.”
