New Delhi, April 25, 2022: LSAC Global – the Indian subsidiary of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has extended the essay submission date for the Shamnad Basheer Access to Justice Essay Scholarship to 10 June 2022. The essay submission date has been moved from the date of 06 May 2022 to 10 June 2022 to provide sufficient time to interested students to submit their essay in wake of postponement of Class XII board exams.

The Shamnad Basheer Access to Justice Essay Scholarship is based on an essay competition. This year’s topic is “The impact of Social Media – Is it promoting inclusivity or widening the gap?”. Students need to write an essay arguing for or against the topic and send in their entry by 10 June, 2022 atdiscoverlawscholarship@lsac.org. The essay competition is applicable only for LSAT—India candidates applying to a full-time five-year law programme at a LSAC Global Law Alliance College.
This year, LSAC Global has announced multiple scholarships to provide more opportunities to the law aspirants to ease the financial burden of earning a law degree. The top 3 entries of the essay competition will receive scholarships amounting to maximum of specified amount:
- Winner: INR 2 Lacs only
- First runner up: INR 1 Lac only
- Second runner up: INR 1 Lac only
