Medhavi Skills University Hosts International Skilling Conclave 2025, Unveils SHINE in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, 13 August 2025 – On the occasion of International Youth day, Medhavi Skills University (MSU) organised the International Skilling Conclave 2025 and inaugurated SHINE – Skill Hub for International Employment in the august presence of Chief Guest Shri M Nagarajan, IAS, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) and Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh, Member, Board of Governance & Director General, Kaushalya – The Skill University, Gujarat with Shri E. Rajiv, Executive Director, International Automobile Centre of Excellence as the Special Guests and Shri. Kuldip Sarma, Co-Founder and Pro-Chancellor, MSU.  

Underscoring MSU’s commitment to enhancing overseas mobility in higher education for Indian youth, MSU SHINE offers to learners programs curated for international employment with 100% sponsorship or reimbursement for all costs, including training, assessments, onboarding, visa processing, and flights, ensuring that skilled Indian youth can access international careers without financial burden. SHINE aims to be more than a skilling platform, it is a launchpad for ethical overseas migration, built on global benchmarks, government alliances, and industry expectations. 

The conclave featured a global dialogue on “International Skilled Worker Mobility Ecosystem” with Ms. Moumita Bhattacharya (Senior Advisor, Economic, Climate and Development, British Deputy High Commission, Gujarat and Rajasthan), Mr. Arunachalam Karthikeyan (Head of iMOVE representation, Germany), Shri. Rajiv (Executive Director, International Automobile Centre of Excellence, Joint venture of Govt. of Gujarat & Maruti Suzuki), Mr Mike D. Wild (Global Skills & Employability Strategist – CetifID, Germany), Dr Sumeet Sharma (Global Engagement Consultant, Australia), Mr Ahdil Azam, (International Migration Service, IB West GmbH, Germany) and Mr. Rupinder Singh Duggal, Area Head, IDP IELTS (West India) as speakers.

The initiative connects candidates to real-time global demand across countries such as Germany, the UK, the USA, Japan, Australia, Finland, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, in sectors including healthcare, IT, hospitality, engineering, logistics, and technical trades. Among its flagship programs are the Professional Diploma in German Industry Readiness, the Professional Diploma in Adaptation to German Automotive Industry, and the Adaptation Program to German Healthcare Industry. 

SHINE, Ahmedabad also plays a pivotal role in conducting international assessments including language proficiency tests, catering to aspirants in the western region of India. These include assessments like TestAS, TestDaF, TORFL, dMAT, ITTS, PSI Certifications, ISACA, GitHub, Nutanix, IELTS UKVI & Life Skills and Pearson VUE Tests. 

This launch comes amid surging global mobility trends: as of 2025, over 1.8 million Indian students are studying abroad, up from 1.3 million in 2023, while India also leads the world in GenAI course enrollments. Yet, a persistent skills gap remains, something SHINE aims to bridge through industry-aligned, globally benchmarked training and pre-departure readiness.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Nagarajan said, “This initiative aligns India’s youth with international standards and opens pathways that are both aspirational and accessible.” Shri. Kuldip Sarma added, “We aim to cultivate global citizens trained, supported, and ready to excel without the burden of debt. We facilitate our students through our collaborations with diplomatic missions and industry partners.” 

Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh stated, “This initiative is inspiring as it is creating not just employable talent, but globally adaptable professionals who will carry India’s reputation for excellence into every corner of the world.” 

Mr. Athul Krishna from SHINE, Kerala, who has been recently placed with Mercedes-Benz in Germany while sharing his experience said, “SHINE prepared me technically and culturally, through industry exposure, and today I’m ready to work in Germany with confidence.”

The Skill Hub for International Employment is a comprehensive global mobility ecosystem, offering pre-departure training, language proficiency programs, industry certifications, visa facilitation, and cultural readiness. It upholds ethical migration principles while forging international corridors in high demand sector skill Indian youth for global citizenship.
