Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA) Announces Admission Commencement for Grade 11

Mumbai, 11 July, 2022: Established under the umbrella of the Aditya Birla Education Trust, Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA), one of Mumbai’s leading international schools, has announced the commencement of admissions for Grade 11, 11th July 2022. Students can apply for admission to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) or the Cambridge A-Level Program, for the academic year 2023-2024. The programs are ideal for students who want to take advantage of global education, broadening their scope for diverse career options. Applications will remain open till 27 July 2022. The applications should be submitted on ABWA’s website, following which an assessment exam will be conducted.

An orientation session will be conducted by ABWA on Sunday, July 24, 2022, for all parents of 10th-grade students, to familiarise them with the specifics of the two programs, and help them make an informed choice. Parents and students may register for the virtual orientations, for Grade 11. 

Additionally, merit-based scholarships are available to students seeking admission to Grade 11 (IBDP A Level), and will be awarded based upon well-defined criteria. To avail the scholarships, candidates need to submit the Merit Scholarship Application Form (MSAF) along with the completed admission form. Applicants will be considered based on their prior academic reports, their performance in a group discussion and critical thinking test, followed by meetings with the Chairperson and Trustees.

Within a framework that provides a sound and balanced education, it will enable students to pursue their interests and become active learners.” 

Both IBDP and Cambridge A-Level are extremely challenging programs that prepare students for higher education of global quality and rigour. The curricula have been meticulously designed to instill students with a combination of values and crucial life skills. Students are expected to study at least two languages and excel in conventional academic disciplines. 

In the last academic year, students of ABWA have secured 210 offers of acceptance at 148 universities across six countries including Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Netherlands and the United States of America. These also include acceptances to Ivy League universities, such as Brown University and Cornell University.
