DLF Foundation, a philanthropic arm of DLF Limited yesterday kick-started the art and culture initiative ‘Junoon’ at Amphitheatre in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. The objective of the project is to provide a platform to budding performers to showcase their talent.The event will enable people of all age groups from across Delhi-NCR to showcase their talent in activities like music, dance, plays, theatre, laughter club activities, fashion show and the like.

On the occasion, Col. Prakash Tewari, Executive Director, CSR – DLF Ltd said: “We, at DLF Foundation, have always endeavored to encourage and nurture talent. There is a large untapped pool of talent in Delhi-NCR and this initiative will provide a unique platform to people to display their talent.”

In the first session, Junoon reminisced of the decade of 1960’s with participants, Jyoti Sinha, Tuhina, Parth Dave, RC Chadha, and Lilly Singh, putting up scintillating performances that enthralled the audience.



Jyoti Sinha is a Gurgaon-based music singer who is trained in Hindustani classical music. An alumna of NIT Jamshedpur and MDI Gurgaon, she is currently working as a National head in Coke. Her passion for music has continued through these years and she has passed that love on her children, both of whom are pursuing music avidly: her son is a drummer and her elder daughter is a professional western music vocalist.

R C Chadha is a war veteran who commissioned in Indian army infantry as a frontline soldier. He is also a founder of Global Cultural Foundation which is dedicated to senior citizens and music lovers. He has received training from Late Saluddin Khan of Dilli Gharana. Lilly Singh has been a regular performer with Doordarshan and AIR. She has been awarded the ‘Best Stage Singer Award’ by Sur Sangam.

He said:”This is a good initiative to enable one and all display his talent. Initiatives like these should be regularly encouraged.”

The event will be organized every Saturday from 7.00 pm. to 8.30 p.m. at Amphitheatre in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon.  There would be a theme for each event.

The project will be taken up from July 2017 to March 2018.
