November 02, 2022- iSchoolConnect Inc., an AI-based edtech company, recently awarded 37 overseas education aspirants scholarships as a part of its biggest philanthropic campaign, the iSchoolConnect Scholarship.

With more than 5,000 applicants from across the globe, the iSchoolConnect Scholarship awarding committee narrowed down to 37 students who demonstrated exceptional resolve to study abroad regardless of the obstacles that came their way.

“Scholarships in the international higher education space greatly help aspirants. However, with so many competent profiles, the number of avenues to get financial help needs to be increased to help more deserving students pursue their dream of studying abroad. I started iSchoolConnect with a vision to democratize the global admissions market for graduate and undergraduate programs. The iSchoolConnect Scholarship is a part of that vision. We want to tell aspirants that they are not alone in this journey, that we support them, and believe in the beauty of their ambitions,” says Ashish Fernando, CEO and Founder iSchoolConnect.

Data bears testimony that there is a significant increase in the number of study abroad aspirants from TIER 2 and TIER 3 cities in India. However, the cost of studying abroad is a great deterrent for many students.

“It is especially arduous for middle and lower-income family students to manage their finances. Moreover, the current exchange rate fluctuations are adding to the woes of students and their parents, who are struggling to cover the deficit. We are happy that with our Scholarship, we can help a few students going abroad,” Ashish adds.

The inaugural edition of the iSchoolConnect Scholarship, launched in 2020, awarded scholarships to 15 study-abroad aspirants. Seeing the overwhelming response from aspirants, iSchoolConnect decided to make the Scholarship an annual phenomenon, where students from all over the world can find a way to fund their education and pursue their study abroad dream. Consequently, the iSchoolConnect Scholarship 2.0 was launched last year in November with a bigger scholarship award to help more deserving students.

A virtual ceremony was held on October 29, 2022, to felicitate the Scholarship winners. One of the top winners of the Scholarship, Shivangi Tandon, who got into Dartmouth College, USA, won a cash award.
