Our frontline soldiers can’t save us without their armour. In India, we already have a shortage of doctors and nurses and even if 10% of them were to be infected, we would have fewer doctors and nurses to treat COVID-19 patients. This not only decreases the chances of stemming the disease but also increases the number of patients who would die due to a shortage of healthcare personnel to treat them. For a country of 1.3 billion people, this would be catastrophic.

The seven former students of IIT Bombay have made it their goal to provide PPE kits to the doctors and healthcare workers dedicated to fighting COVID-19.

Important Announcement – EasyShiksha has now started Online Internship Program “Ab India Sikhega Ghar Se” during this lockdown.

“We came together and started this campaign to support people who’ve been selflessly helping us fight this pandemic. Our country would have been in an unimaginable situation right now, if not for our medical workers,” said Arpit Agarwal.

Another IIT-B alumnus, Kuldip Sahni added, “We realized how soon our healthcare system and resources could get overwhelmed trying to match up to the alarming rate of spread even during the initial phases. That’s when all of us decided to start a crowdfunding campaign and get more people to contribute to this cause.”

Each PPE kit costs between Rs. 1000-1500 and includes N95 Masks, Disposable Gloves, Safety Goggles, Shoe Covers, Head Cover and Hand Sanitisers. The funds raised will be directly transferred to the suppliers of PPE kits who will provide them to the various hospitals across India. ImpactGuru will add upto 20% in matching donations via the ACT Grant on every single donation for this campaign.
