The results of JEE Advanced Examination were declared at 10 a.m. today. Jamshedpur-based Yogesh Ajit Kothari stood overall third in the state and all India rank of 120. Mohit Kumar stood 150th in the general category and 19th in the backward category. Aditya Singh(Physically handicapped category) achieved an overall rank of 120th. Being 75% handicapped, Aditya had always dreamt of studying in IIT.

Ajit Kothari said: “I was always confident of my success. I am indebted to Narayana Institute where I took coaching. The faculty was supportive at every step.”

Organized by IIT Madras, the examination was held on 21 May 2017.Approximately 2.21 lakh candidates had registered and appeared for Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Advanced Examination. Candidates, who cleared the JEE Main or the first phase of the two-phase exams, were eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced.

The performance of a candidate in JEE Advanced forms the basis for admission to the bachelor’s, integrated Master’s and dual degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
