Indore, 29th December 2022: New Year comes with new beginnings and new chances. While on one hand, many plan new goals for the coming year, on the other hand, the students who are preparing for the competitive exams face sleepless nights to ‘clear their attempt’. Here, instead of stress and anxiety, if you start the New Year with proper planning, you will succeed in overcoming your challenges. Lalit Sardana, Founder, and Teacher of Sardana International School, Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, explains that New Year is about filling ourselves with new energy, enthusiasm, and determination. But many students who are preparing for 10th, 12th, or competitive exams face a common problem: executing the strategies they have planned to reach their goals.

All India rank 243 and IIT Delhi alumnus Sardana Sir, who teaches Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, says that a student can easily manage his routine if he understands that opportunities knock on your door many times, but it is you who chooses which one is the final one. Although many children make routines, they cannot follow them regularly. And most of the students preparing for competitive exams become depressed because of this. But by incorporating a few habits into your daily routine, you can succeed in adapting to a new lifestyle quite easily.

Set a concrete, specific, and achievable goal

Define clearly what you want to accomplish and make a plan to achieve those goals. Break your goals into smaller, more manageable tasks and set deadlines for yourself to help you stay on track.

Make a schedule

Create a schedule for each day or week that includes study time, extracurricular activities, and other commitments. Be sure to make your schedule flexible enough for unforeseen events or emergencies.

Stay organized

Use a planner or calendar to keep track of your tasks and deadlines. Make sure you have a particular place to study and keep all your materials organized.

Stay focused

Find yourself a quiet place and avoid any sort of distractions. Turn off your phone and limit your use of social media.

Take a break

A break is important to give your mind a chance to rest and recharge. Take breaks every 50-90 minutes to go for a walk or do something enjoyable.

Get help

Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. If you’re struggling with a subject, talk to your teacher or tutor, and consider joining a study group or working with a study partner.

Take care of yourself

Make sure to get enough sleep, eat healthily and engage in physical activity to stay fit and energetic. Include exercise or yoga in your daily routine.
