Bengaluru, August 11, 2025: Masai, one of India’s leading outcome based platforms, announced the launch of Season 2 of its ‘EmpowerHer’ program, a 100% tech scholarship initiative designed to help Indian women launch careers in technology. The program is being rolled out in collaboration with Korea Social Investment Foundation (KSIF) and is supported by AVPN, the #1 social investor network in Asia.
Applications are now invited for 460 fully-funded seats, with Phase 1 enrolments closing on August 15, 2025. The training will begin on October 1, 2025, and run through February 28, 2026.
Despite making up nearly 50% of the country’s population, women account for only 32% of the tech workforce in India, and even fewer hold roles in core engineering functions. This lack of representation limits access to stable, high-paying careers and reduces their participation in the rapidly evolving digital economy. Masai’s EmpowerHer program is addressing this gap by offering structured, outcome-driven tech training specifically tailored for women, and at zero upfront cost.
EmpowerHer is a nationwide career transformation initiative designed to support women who are new to tech, returning to work after a career break, or coming from non-technical backgrounds. The program includes a 5-month intensive Web Development Bootcamp, followed by 2 months of internship and placement support. Training is delivered through live online classes from Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, making it convenient for women balancing other responsibilities. Participants will also receive career guidance, mentorship, and hands-on project experience.

The program is designed for women from all educational backgrounds, including B.Com, B.Sc, and those who have completed Class 12, with no prior coding or technical degree required. The initiative particularly encourages participation from women in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where structured, outcome-based tech training opportunities are often limited.
Commenting on the launch, Prateek Shukla, Co-founder and CEO of Masai, said, “We are bringing back EmpowerHer after witnessing the remarkable success and impact of Season 1, where women from diverse backgrounds made their entry into the tech workforce. Season 2 builds on that foundation with greater intent and scale. Unlike traditional models that often serve a small, privileged segment, our EmpowerHer program is structured for inclusivity, offering a comprehensive learning and placement experience at zero upfront cost. With live classes, hands-on projects, internships, and mentorship, we’re preparing women to be confident, job-ready professionals in tech.”
Ms. Soon Youl Lee, CEO of KSIF stated, “At KSIF, we believe in the power of education and employment to drive social change. EmpowerHer aligns with our mission to support initiatives that create meaningful, long-term impact. By sponsoring this program, we are investing in a future where more women have the opportunity to participate in and shape the tech industry. We are proud to collaborate with Masai on a program that is both inclusive and outcome-driven.”
