Mumbai, 21st April, 2016: The financial capital of India, Mumbai, will host the 5th edition of TECHNOTEX-2016, India’s premier Exhibition of technical textiles. Technotex 2016 attracts participants, visitors and other key decision makers from a diverse section of the technical textile industry, with an aim to provide innovative solutions, identify new business opportunities and create an environment congenial for growth. Organized by Ministry of Textiles & FICCI, The 5th edition of Technotex2016, will be held from April 21st to 23rd at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai this year.

Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra and Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge), Government of India will be releasing i A-TUFS software and guidelines, Textiles Compendium 2014-15, standards, Knowledge Report and Technotex 2016 Exhibition Directory at the ceremony. The Knowledge report and standards have been developed to provide directional guidelines to the technical textiles industry in India and create an eco-system of sustainable growth through partnerships and collaborations between participants and the government.

The inauguration ceremony will witness state and industry dignitaries such as Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge), Shri. The platform has been an enabler for linkages, technology transfer, exchange of innovative ideas, joint ventures and showcase of international trends in the technical textiles sector in the country and will continue to play a significant role in strengthening the industry further”. “Ministry of textiles has taken numerous initiatives which will help the technical textiles industry to grow by leaps and bounds, and reach the pinnacle of success in the coming years. We are hopeful of making Indian technical textile sector into one of the most promising sector around the world by its next edition”, he concludes. When the global technical textile industry revisits our shores in the next edition of Technotex 2017 from May 4-6, 2017, Indian Technical Textile sector will be one of the most promising sectors in the World.
TECHNOTEX, organized by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), is the flagship event comprising of an international exhibition, conference, and seminars. A common platform for interaction amongst stakeholders from across the global technical textile value chain, TECHNOTEX exemplifies the immense potential for trade and investment between India and foreign countries in technical textile sector.
The exhibition and international conference TECHNOTEX INDIA is expected to draw in more than 150 exhibitors, looking to showcase a varied collection of technical textiles from the various sub sectors of the technical textiles industry. With participation from nations like Korea, Switzerland, Japan, U.S.A, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Russia, U.K, Spain and many more, the event will also witness the country pavilions of Taiwan and China. Gujarat and Karnataka are participating as Partner States. Technotex 2016 will witness participation from states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and others.
