Schools hosted cultural walk-throughs, flag- hoisting, virtual skits to engage students Republic Day of India

Educational institutions and remote skill development classes are undergoing this transition phase of phased and hybrid model of learning, with severity of COVID variant being reduced. With two years into pandemic, teachers and students are emerging as resilient and yearning to still aim for growth and development. In the similar pursuit, schools hosted virtual, hybrid celebrations for the 73rd Republic Day of India for the little ones.

Online Internship with Certification

Patriotism is simply an extension to one’s identity. The sense of pride and nationality can be achieved through display of respect for fundamental structures of the country. Online schools like ‘The Class of One’ believe that in a student’s life the sense of belonging to a nation and identifying its glory boosts self-esteem and recognises one’s purpose in society. The students at The Class of One together celebrated ‘Proud to be an Indian week’.

This week-long activity hosted under the leadership of Ms Divya Jain, Founder and Director of TCO1 consisted of activities to spread awareness on the social, geographical, cultural aspects of the nation. Identifying National symbols, events, and Great achievers were the highlights of the week. This was further culminated with the 73rd Republic Day Celebration which included display of dance performances across cultural diversities and the enactment on the importance of Fundamental rights that the constitution offers and enables students to be responsible citizens of the future.

DPS Rajnagar Extension Ghaziabad organized an Intra class Role Play Competition for the students of Grade- I and II on 21st January 2022. The objective of this competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the little ones. The students portrayed themselves as famous personalities, leaders and freedom fighters with great conviction and confidence. It proved to be a great learning experience for all the children. It offered a chance to the participants to gain experience, showcase speaking and presentation skills.

Meanwhile, pre-primary school The Shri Ram Wonder Years in Rohini added a creative fervor and hosted an exclusive celebration ‘Enroute the Indian Heritage- A Walk Thru’. The walk-through showcased the rich historical, traditional and cultural heritage of India with the representation of varied culture of some states like Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, Kerala and Assam. Flag hoisting ceremony was also done by senior school management in presence of Ms. Sumedha Goel, Director, TSWY, Rohini followed by National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland.
