– Old Delhi Delicacies Attracts Crowd in Huge Numbers
February 27, Gurgaon: ‘ Purani Dilli Ka Khana ’, a food festival organized by DLF Gardencity concluded yesterday. The two-day event was held at DLF Gardencity Sports Complex, Sector 91 in Gurgaon.
‘Purani Dilli Ka Khana’ witnessed more than 2000 visitors from Mapsko Casabella, Bestech Ananda, Vatika India Next,SARE Homes, Orris and Vipul Lavanya amongst others.

Over 25 stalls have been put up for the visitors. The food festival saw participation of famous names like Natraj Dahi Bhalle Wala, Chicken Changezi, Lotan Matar Kulche, Pandit Ji Paranthe Wale, JB Kachori Wala and Kuremal Mohan Lal Kulfi Wale. The menu ranged from scrumptious biryani to mouth-watering chaat which was one of the major crowd pullers. For those with a sweet tooth there was kheer, phirni and more than a dozen varieties of kulfi.

Other attractions included stalls for home décor, clothing, accessories, jewellery and kids’ products. A dedicated zone had been created for the children who kept them thoroughly entertained. Also, a carnival parade of magicians, unicyclists, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers in the venue is thoroughly entertaining the crowd with its antics.

The festival came alive with scintillating performance given by Sufi band Rangreza which evoked nostalgia of Old Delhi’s culture among the audience. A Rajasthani folk dance performance also enthralled the audience.
