New Delhi: Giving wings to mountaineer and athlete Baljeet Kaur’s dream of ascending Mount Everest, Rodic Consultants has announced sponsorship to support her mission and rigorous training. A beacon of hope for athletes across the country, Baljeet has already summited 11 peaks in India and Nepal, and she is now gearing up to ascend Mount Everest this year. On getting the sponsorship, the mountaineer thanked Rodic Consultants and said the support would go a long way to encourage women athletes and promote adventure sports in India.
This bold and young mountaineer will also summit Mt. Annapurna in north-central Nepal before climbing Mt. Everest.

Baljeet hails from Solan, a small mountain village in Himachal Pradesh. Despite her humble roots, she has become the first Indian woman to summit the 7th highest mountain in the world, Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Pumori (7161m) and many mountains in Northern Himalayas in her glorious career. Her father, Sardar Amreek Singh is a retired Himachal State Transport Corporation bus driver and currently engaged in micro farming and her mother Shanti Devi is a homemaker. Regardless of numerous setbacks, shehasconsistently remained focused on summiting the mountainsfor which she is gaining well-deserved popularity for the skills that she possesses.
