Speaking on his visit, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), said, “The role of industry in skill development is not just valuable—it is indispensable. Companies like Schneider Electric exemplify the power of public-private collaboration in equipping our youth with cutting-edge skills and making them future-ready. MSDE’s partnership with Schneider Electric has been instrumental in bridging the gap between industry needs and skilling initiatives, ensuring hands-on, demand-driven training that enhances employability.
We have recently announced the National scheme for ITI Upgradation as well, where industry participation remains a key pillar. With ₹10,000 crore in contributions from industry partners as part of the scheme’s ₹60,000 crore outlay, we are reinforcing the need for a co-shared responsibility model—where industries actively shape curriculum, provide training infrastructure, and ensure a direct linkage to employment. India’s aspiration to become the skill capital of the world can only be realized when industries, training institutions, and the government work in unison. I commend Schneider Electric for its unwavering commitment to this mission, and I urge more companies to step forward and be part of this transformative journey.”
