Bengaluru, 09 November 2021: SOS Children’s Villages of India, the largest self-implementing childcare NGO in the country, has been awarded the prestigious NGO Leadership Award 2021 at National CSR Leadership Congress and Awards. The award recognizes the NGO’s use of ‘change’ as a strategic tool for sustainable growth.
SOS Children’s Villages of India was honoured at an award ceremony held at Taj Hotel, M.G. Road, Bangalore. About 100 CSR heads, corporate officials, and NGO leaders participated in the function. In adherence to COVID-19 prevention norms, there was no handing over of awards. Citations were laid out on a table and winners took their awards and posed for photographs.

Such an approach is driven by passion and commitment towards social change. The criteria adopted for this award are incorporating ethical values, involvement in communities and protection of the environment, strategic perspective, and building relationships, effective and sustainable mobilization of resources in support of program and project work, including support from local communities, demonstration of efficient management of financial and human resources, good governance practices, transparency, accountability, and effective communication.
