Mumbai 26, March, 2025: Target Learning Ventures, a leading publishing house, recently organised a comprehensive career counseling program for students from the economically weaker section of Matrubhoomi High School in Kandivali. The program, designed for 9th and 10th-grade students, was delivered in partnership with INSEED NGO, which provides essential educational support to the school. This initiative reflects Target Learning Ventures’ commitment to community outreach and empowering students to achieve their full potential.
The career counseling session, held at Matrubhoomi High School, was led by Mr. Sachin Kodolikar, Executive Director of Target Learning Ventures. Mr. Kodolikar began by explaining the diverse personality types found in both everyday life and professional settings, such as communicative, reflective, analytical, and assertive individuals. He then connected these personality traits to suitable career paths, providing students with valuable insights into potential job roles.

Beyond traditional career options, Mr. Kodolikar emphasized the significance of skill-based courses recognized by the Government of India. He encouraged students to explore opportunities available through platforms like the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) website. Furthermore, he motivated them to participate in the India Skills competition organized by NSDC, broadening their understanding of diverse career possibilities.
“We are obliged by the INSEED NGO for providing us with the opportunity to engage with these students and encourage them to explore career paths beyond conventional choices,” stated Sachin Kodolikar, Executive Director of Target Learning Ventures, Thane. “It’s common for students to gravitate towards traditional academic routes. However, there are numerous skill-based courses, endorsed by the Government of India, that offer promising career prospects. Students should leverage resources such as the NSDC website and other skill development councils to make informed decisions. We also strongly encourage them to explore and participate in the India Skills competition. This initiative is more than just career guidance; it’s about fostering hope and empowering a generation to thrive.”
Sangeeta Shirname, Founder, INSEED NGO, said, “A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Sachin from Target Learning Ventures for conducting an impactful career counseling session at Matrubhoomi School. He presented a wide range of career options tailored to students’ aptitudes and interests, opening their eyes to exciting possibilities beyond traditional paths like engineering and medicine. This session was especially invaluable for underprivileged students from the slums, offering them new perspectives and opportunities they may never have considered. We eagerly anticipate the practical experience during summer, with Mr. Sachin inviting the students to visit their office for further career insights.”
