Mumbai, 12th July 2019: The national day of France, Bastille Day was celebrated by Thakur International School Cambridge on 12th of July 2019. It was made memorable by the presence of Chef Pallavi Nigam Sahay as a chief guest who added the delight to the day’s events. Apart from being a world-renowned chef, Pallavi Nigam Sahay is a TV host, published author and tea sommelier.

She conducted a unique cooking workshop – ‘No Gas Recipe’. No gas recipes, as the name suggests, are lip-smacking dishes which are cooked without gas or flame. Students across different grades participated. They indulged wholeheartedly in this cooking activity by preparing dishes such as Croissant banana sandwich and French potato salad. Chef Pallavi had a tough time selecting the best dish, as all the participants seemed to have whipped up tasty delicacies. As an ode to French culture, the students also sang popular French songs and danced to some beautiful French melodies.

“I was blown away by these multi-talented children. They not only sang and danced on songs which were relatively foreign to them but also cooked appetizing dishes. I am highly impressed by the kind of education offered by Thakur International School Cambridge. I congratulate them for being so open minded and ensuring that their children receive exposure to global cultures”
