12th All India Korean Language Speech Contest

14th November 2019, New Delhi: Recently Korean Cultural Centre India in collaboration with University of Delhi conducted “12th All India Korean Language Speech Contest” at University of Delhi. 25 students from all over India participated in the contest. The event witnessed the presence of H.E. SHIN BongKil Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, Kim Kum-pyoung director of Korean Cultural Centre India, Dr. Unita Sachidanand, Head, Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi, many faculty members and enthusiastic students from PAN India. 3 First prize Winners got the prize of “Trip to Korea” and other 6 winners got the prize of Samsung and LG products.

The winners of the contest were as following: In beginners group Shirsha Singh form KCC – Kolkata stood first, Poorva Rohilla from Sejong KCC – second and Ayushi Sejong KCC as 3rd. From Intermediate group, Arnimal Kaul, Runi Roka and Abeer Khan stood first, second and third respectively from Sejong KCC Delhi. Advanced group had Ayushi Abrol, Astha and Mohit as first, second and third respectively from Sejong KCC Delhi.

The contest was is three levels: beginners, which had free subject about Korea, intermediate  which had the subject as – Korean person i admire and advanced level with the topic – Korean Literature: The next runner for Hallyu in India.

The students participated from University of Delhi, Manipur University, Banaras Hindu University, Amity University Gurugram, Sejong Hakdang, Korean Cultural Centre India, Central University of Jaharkhand, Sejong Hakdang Patna and Korean Cultural Centre Kolkata.
