~Marwadi University organised the three day of MU Fest comprising 50 plus technical, non-technical, and fun-learning events~
New Delhi, 2nd March, 2023: Marwadi University (MU), the youngest institution to be recognized as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) by the Government of Gujarat, via the Faculty of Management Studies, successfully concluded the latest edition of the annual, MU Fest 2023. The fest was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of Mr. Arun Mahesh Babu, Collector and DM, Rajkot; Shri Raju Bhargava, Commissioner of Police, Rajkot; Shri Amit Arora, Municipal Commissioner, Rajkot; Shri Chetan Nandani, Deputy Commissioner, Rajkot; Shri Jitubhai Chandarana, Vice-president and Co-founder, Marwadi University; Dr Sandeep Sancheti, Vice-chancellor, Marwadi University; along with HOD’s at MU.
The three day MU Fest 2023 was primarily conceived as a platform for students to showcase their technical and non-technical talents in a fun and engaging environment. More than 50 events were designed in order to test the skill sets of students in competitions like IPL Auction, Open Mic, Squid Games, Data Quest, Robocomp, Godrone, among others.
The Fest was pre-opened with a Kavi Sammelan. Some of the renowned poets that added the dash of sarcasm and fun were Prateek Gupta (Muradnagar), Aelesh Avasthi (Agra), Manika Dube (Jabalpur), Hemant Pande (Kanpur), Sanjay Bansal (Mumbai), Saurabh Jain Suman (Meerut). The 3-day fest concluded with a stellar performance by the iconic Bollywood music duo Vishal-Sheykhar, who performed some of their top numbers in front of a crowd of more than 8000 students.
The opening ceremony began with a traditional procession after which, Mr. Arun Mahesh Babu, Collector and DM, Rajkot, during his inauguration speech said that, “Marwadi University has always been one of the leading institutions to promote a fresh perspective on education but also overall socio-cultural activities which encompass student’s talents and give them a platform to shine. Student’s enthusiasm at MU never fails to amaze me and I am sure the new generation students are going to take the university to newer heights.”

After the inaugural, various events and competitions started off simultaneously all over the campus, which included a multi-themed fashion show competition, judged by an esteemed panel, including, Mrs. Bosky Nathwani, Director, IFJD (Institute of Fashion & Jewellery Design); Ms. Sonu Bhutia from Sonu Bhutia Design Studio, and Mrs. Manju Sancheti.
During the Valedictory, Mr. Bipinbhai Hadvani, Chief Guest and Founder, Gopal Namkeen motivated the students with the story of his entrepreneurial journey, appreciated the spirit of participants and awarded prizes to winners of various events. “We are very happy to have been able to showcase some really interesting talent on campus at MU Fest 2023. We wanted to showcase that learning skills can be an extremely fun and engaging activity. This fest is an expression of creativity, energy, and enthusiasm of all the students. We are keen to continue this tradition in the future as well,” added Prof. (Dr) Sunil Jakhoria, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Marwadi University, under whose leadership the event was organized.
