NMIMS Bengaluru School of Law Conducts Orientation Program for BA LLB and BBA LLB Programs

Bengaluru, 19th July, 2023: NMIMS Bengaluru School of Law, one of the leading law schools in the region, recently conducted its orientation program for the incoming batch of students joining the BA LLB and BBA LLB programs. The orientation program aimed to familiarize the students with the institution, its values, and the academic curriculum, setting the stage for their successful journey ahead.

In the current academic year, both the BBA LLB and BA LLB programs have shown a higher enrollment of female students compared to male students. In the academic year 2022-23, the BBA LLB program had a total of 37 students, with 10 male and 27 female students. Similarly, the BA LLB program had a total of 53 students, with 22 male and 31 female students. Moving on to the academic year 2023-24, the BA LLB program enrolled 50 students, including 14 male and 36 female students. The BBA LLB program for the same year had a total of 55 students, with 21 male and 34 female students. The numbers indicate a positive trend towards gender diversity and inclusivity in the field of law and business administration. It is encouraging to see a balanced representation of genders, which contributes to a more diverse and enriching educational environment.

The orientation programs included informative sessions on various subjects, delivered by experienced faculty members, with a focus on fostering a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum. The week-long schedule encompassed topics such as economics, history, political science, law of torts, sociology, legal methods, general English, finance, marketing, management, business environment, and philosophy. The sessions also included briefings on placement, moot court society, anti-ragging, sexual harassment, library rules and regulations, and examination guidelines. The counseling team and psychologist provided valuable insights and support to the students.  

The Chief Guest at the special event was Mr. Spandan Saxena. Armed with impressive work experience and expertise in the legal field, he has made invaluable contributions in the areas of venture capital, investment transactions and legal due diligence.  Sharing his insights and experiences with the students, he said, “I am honored to be a part of NMIMS Bengaluru’s School of Law orientation program. It is a pleasure to share my experiences and insights with the talented students who are embarking on their legal careers. I believe that this platform will provide them with valuable guidance and inspiration as they navigate the dynamic legal landscape. I commend NMIMS Bengaluru for fostering a holistic learning environment and preparing students to excel in the legal profession. I look forward to engaging with the bright minds and witnessing their growth and success.”
