Dr. Ashwath Narayan C. N. to inaugurate The Karnataka Education Innovation Conference 2022, co-hosted by ISDC

The theme of the conference is Education Beyond Borders: Internationalization: The Way Forward

Bengaluru, 6th October 2022: International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), UK will host the Karnataka Education Innovation Conference (KEIC) 2022 in collaboration with the Karnataka State Higher Education Council. The conference will be inaugurated by Dr. Ashwath Narayan C. N, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, on October 15th, 2022, at Hotel Shangri-La, Bengaluru.

Internationalization of education has been a priority for the Karnataka government for a long time. As part of his recent visit to the UK, Dr. Ashwath Narayan met representatives of the regulators, professional bodies and prominent universities in UK to discuss future collaborations with them aimed at improving education and skills in Karnataka. 

Dr. Ashwath Narayan C.N congratulated both Karnataka State Higher Education Council and ISDC on organising this conference and said, “The conference will give all stakeholders a common platform to explore unexplored possibilities, discuss existing challenges, and come up with strategies under one roof. Furthermore, these discussions will enable a comprehensive plan to increase collaboration with international universities using various modes available under the new UGC guidelines. Hopefully, this conference will open many ways towards our goal of internationalising education. “

Mr. Tom Joseph, Executive Director of Strategy & Development at ISDC, said, “Several measures have been identified by NEP 2020 to promote India as a global study destination and for internationalization. These include faculty/student exchanges, facilitating collaborations with foreign universities, signing relevant MOUs with foreign universities, etc. KEIC 2022 will highlight these topics and provide an opportunity for the participants to discuss and elaborate on NEP on Internationalisation of Education in light of the updated UGC Regulations. We are very excited to co-host the conference and are looking forward to highly successful and engaging sessions.”
