ELS Offered International Education Pathways to the United States through ‘ELS Education Fair 2017’
November 2017, India: ELS Education Fair 2017 was hosted across five major cities of the country. ELS presented a delegation of 10 large and high-ranking universities from the USA and European universities and ETS to Indian students and institutes in Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Chennai between November 2nd and November 17, 2017.

The Vice Counsel from the US Embassy, Chennai presented on student visa applications to the US and answered queries from students and parents regarding the application process, documents required, application outcomes etc. The fair provided an opportunity for students and parents to interact with admissions officers and faculty members from the participating universities to learn more about the education system, admission requirements, scholarships, campus information etc, which would enable them to make informed decisions regarding studying in foreign universities.
ELS aided the delegation in touring these cities, with a day dedicated for education fairs and a day for institutional visits.
The ELS Education Fair was open to students who were interested in the prospects of studying in the USA. Parents and faculty of various institutions also attended the fair.

Visitors to the fair met representatives from a wide selection of colleges and universities and got detailed information and guidance about the courses they are interested in and the other study options. The education fair also had international advisors from these universities. They are experts in the field of admissions and assisted students in understanding the various programs on offer, the degree requirements and the admissions process.

We had lower numbers than past years but we saw higher quality students and parents who had further interest and desire to study abroad. We also saw an upstream of interest for undergraduate programs this year considering Chennai has always been a graduate focus market. The Visa briefing by the Counsel Offices from the US Embassy, Chennai was well attended followed by a question and answer session that helped clarify several ambiguous questions from students and parents on the visa process and outcomes. Overall we are happy about the turnout and our internationally educated Counsellor with our proven unbiased counselling process that has helped succeed more than 1.2 Million students to US higher education are looking forward in continuing to support students and parents make informed decisions based on their personal interests, academic performance and financial abilities.”
Students who wished to look at universities besides the ones participating in the fair interacted with internationally educated counselors from ELS; who helped the students in exploring higher education options.
ELS was successful in guiding Indian students in the right direction and helping them make well-informed decisions, through the education fair.
