Meanwhile, a special assembly was organized at Lancers International School led by students to mark the Earth Hour.  The assembly stressed on the need to raise awareness on issues of global concern such as climate change and global warming. The students also shared their views on ‘How to Save the Earth’ and secure the future for further generations. They urged the school community to switch off lights for 2 hours and make use of solar lights. The students also sang the famous song by Michael Jackson ‘Heal the World’ to mark the occasion.

Earth Hour is a great initiative to drive conversation about sustainability and make people more aware of the impact their individual choices make to a country’s sustainability efforts. We are very proud to extend our support to the global community for this noble cause,” said Mr. Rohit Mann, Director, Lancers International School.

All students of The NorthCap University were also instructed to keep their lights off during 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM on the night on 25th March in order to contribute their bit towards the Earth hour.
