Today, HRD minister Prakash Javadekar announced a list called ‘Institute of Eminence’. This list posses 6 institutes where 3 are from public and 3 are from private sector. In public sector, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore have been awarded this status. Form private sector, BITS Pilani, Jio Institute and Manipal Academy of Higher Education received this honor.
The information was shared by HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on his social media accounts today. These institutes will get a a government grant of Rs. 1000 crore in next five years.
