New Delhi, 23 March 2018: The brightest mind produces hundred great ideas, which if not reaped at the right time turn into vague contemplation. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has recently taken a step forward with scholarship opportunities to support the harvesting of such great ideas of B.Tech students at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD). Recently, IGL proposed fixing a corpus amount from which the earned interest amount would pay 7 Merit-cum-Means scholarships for the meritorious B.Tech students every year. Only the ingenious B.Tech students who come from financially disadvantaged family are eligible to apply for the scholarships. The students can invest the sum in paying off tuition fee, purchase of books, stationery, laptops and other essentials required to surpass. However, the scholarship will be selectively awarded only after the close assessment of the students based on their academic performance and financial background.

This scholarship, will give the opportunity to support the potential B.Tech students at IIIT-Delhi who are ambitious and dedicated towards their dreams, but are restrained to pursue those due to the weaker economic background can now fly sky-high helping the nation to grow.

On expressing gratitude to IGL, Prof. Pankaj Jalote, Director at IIIT-Delhi commented, “In our institute, we have many students who come from low-income families but are exceptionally diligent towards their studies. To fulfill those, some do part-time jobs to afford the necessities such as books, yearly examination fees and so on. We hope such students would focus more on their studies and work less outside by winning the scholarship. We profoundly appreciate and respect the initiative taken by IGL for the betterment of our students.”
