About IMT - Centre for Distance Learning :

We are the pioneers in the distance learning space in India by setting up the centre in the year 1986 under the aegis of our parent institution IMT Ghaziabad. Since its inception, IMT-CDL has been focusing on providing quality management eduction to the working professionals. The idea behind IMT-CDL was driven by the need of working professionals to acquire management qualifications without taking a career break from their highly rewarding jobs. Executives need programmes that provide the right flexibility to enable them to pursue their careers and education simultaneously. The journey till now has been truly rewarding for us, both in terms of our students doing well as well as the recognition we consistently get from the industry. Skill Tree Global Knowledge Consortium created a platform to rate the Indian institutions for foreign students who want to study in India. The only distance education player who made it to the list was IMT-CDL. We wererecognized at the prestigious House of Commons, London last year where we got the award for the best distance education player; we were the only one to make it to the podium there.

Apart from the heritage we have, which is brand IMT, there are four big pillars, which differentiate IMT from other institutions. The first pillar is what we call as our concept and context curriculum, which is purely industry based and in context to the students’ work place. Our curriculum is largely designed to satiate the educational requirements of working professionals who want to implement the knowledge acquired at their work place. The curriculum is designed with learning interventions which help working executives understand management concepts in context of real businesses and industry situations.

The second pillar is our methodology, called LEAD: Learn, Engage, Apply and Develop is IMT’s unique learning methodology and is the best blend of activities to learn on your own, learn by engaging with experts and peers, learning by doing and continuously developing and building one’s capabilities.

The third pillar is edu-genie, which is a powerful technology based learning management system offering most Learning activities and resources “On Demand”. It allows and helps busy working executives access highly interactive learning courseware, participate in enjoyable learning activities, watch insightful learning videos, practice mock tests and collaborate with peers on the go and do it 24X7.

The fourth pillar is our student care services. As most of our students are away from the campus, student care addresses all their remote queries in a defined period. These are powered by a highly customized software system that uses ‘Learner Analytics’ to predict areas of support and reaches out to IMT students with necessary advice and guidance.
