Likee, the pioneering global short video creation platform from Singapore based BIGO Technology has been gaining widespread popularity in India. In June 2019, the platform completed its two years of operations in India and renamed itself from Like to Likee with an aim to go extra with offering valuable content and in-app tools as per the taste of Indian youth.  Recently, the platform introduced an exciting new app function called FaceFace, which utilizes Likee’s mature AI technology. 1.      No matter where I am, #IAMINDIAN

Likee’s innovative campaign #IAMINDIAN was launched to celebrate India’s 73rd Independence Day to resonate the patriotic sentiments of Indians. The campaign empowered Indian youth to go beyond textual celebration and introduced new effects and stickers that users leveraged to make engaging videos. India’s international sports sensation Ms. Hima Das also participated in this thoughtful campaign. Overall, more than 2.5 lakh videos were contributed by Indians, which garnered more than 225.3 million views. The campaign went on to win the Guinness World Record for creating the ‘Largest online video album of people waving a flag in India.

2. #DiwaliWishQuiz

Another viral campaign by Likee was DiwaliWishQuiz which was launched 10 days prior to Diwali. This exciting guessing game challenge was one of a kind as it involved users in creating a quiz (of 3 questions set) and share with other internet users to guess the right answers. The enthusiastic users took the quiz to the next level by sharing the quiz link with their friends on different social platforms and messaging apps.  #DiwaliWishQuiz saw massive participation from people across country garnering over 98 million views with a fan base of 43.7K.

3.  #HappyDussehra

#HappyDussehra was launched to make the festival of Dussehra special for its Indian users. The campaign was spread over for ten days and was consisted of many engaging challenges which users had to compete. The users had to move through different stages of the challenge to ultimately kill the three avatars of Evil (i.e.) Ravan, Meghnath and Kumbhakarn. #HappyDussehra campaign even introduced special Dussehra stickers, filters, and music videos. Many participants won themselves a gift such as a smartphone, fancy pair of shoes and more.

4. #Likeedreams

#Likeedreams is still an on-going campaign and is a very special one. Launched in September 2019, the campaign is focusing on fulfilling dreams of select talented Likeer to give them boost in their career journey. So far, the campaign has discovered and recognized several gems such as Mamoni, an enthusiastic dancer with a dream to learn video editing; Vipin Yadav, Former Mr. North India with a dream to build 50 rustic gyms in India; Anmol Rodriguez, and acid attack survivor who aims to inspire others and more personalities.
