New Delhi, 1st July, 2016: Global publishing giant Macmillan, one of the world’s largest English Language Training [ELT] companies has launched its portfolio of ELT products in India. In this foray, Macmillan Education India, a leading publisher of curriculum materials is aiming to focus on Language Learning resources to service the English-learner market across India.

The company aims to target over 10 lakh students over the next 3 to 5 years, tapping the language learning space in support of its strategy to double its India revenues.


Speaking about the venture, Jeremy Dieguez, Managing Director, Global Education Group at Macmillan Education said, “Macmillan has a glorious 124 year old association with India. What’s unique about their Language Learning tools is the flexibility in the digital products being launched – Macmillan Practice Online and Macmillan English Campus (MEC). MEC is an intuitive language learning platform with graded online material for ELT. Currently there are 100000 students enrolled on MEC and 150 ELT institutions accessing 60 courses. MEC allows institutions to integrate ELT into their syllabus as per their level and students to approach learning at their own pace. MPO offers individual students the opportunity to cherry pick ELT courses in General English, Business English and Exams and learn anytime anywhere.
