National Cancer Awareness Day was first announced by the Indian Minister of Health and Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan in September 2014, and that November 7 will be considered an annual national cancer awareness day to inform early detection and prevent advanced cancer-causing lifestyles.
Harsh Vardhan introduced the level of cancer control at the state level, promoting early detection and cancer research.
