MHRD is focusing on increasing the reading culture in India again with the initiative ‘Padhe Bharat- Badhe Bharat’. This initiative is launched yesterday. It comes under the ‘Samagra Shiksha’ initiative by the MHRD. Under this initiative schools will be granted annual library access for their students. This will increase their coverage are of knowledge. The grant will be given to Primary to Senior Secondary levels and will vary between Rs. 5000 and Rs. 20000.
