After turning out to be Kartik’s highest opener till date, the film grew on positive word of mouth and has crossed a high number at the box office in less than a week’s time of its release and has also toppled Kartik’s earlier release Luka Chuppi’s first week collections. The film has also worked exceedingly well overseas. With the second weekend also showing high numbers, the film team definitely deserves a celebration.

Juno and Bhushan joined hands on PPAW, after a successful Bhoothnath Returns that released a few years ago. Right now, they have taken their association ahead and their future projects are already underway. Work on those projects have begun already behind closed doors and official announcements will be made soon.

PPAW, which is a remake of the 1978 classic with the same name, has received universal applause for its quirky content, chartbusting music and the smashing on screen and off screen chemistry of the trio – Kartik, Bhumi and Ananya. The audiences were also left in awe of Aparshakti’s noteworthy comic timing and the Kartik  – Aparshakti bromance is another stealer. The modern take on new-age relationships gives the film a contemporary twist and that has worked very well with the audience.

Speaking on the success and rapport with Juno, Bhushan Kumar says, “Juno is a very hardworking and focused boy. Our association has been a satisfying one. He’s extremely proactive with his films and has a strong creative bent of mind, which adds to the performance of the movies.

I have known Juno for sometime and we are both extremely happy with the response to Pati Patni Aur Woh. The audiences have loved the film and the box office numbers are proof. We couldn’t have had a better time to announce our partnership on several other films which we are already working on. We will make the official announcements soon.”

Juno Chopra adds, “I am extremely happy and thrilled with the love that our film has been getting from everyone. But I want to thank Bhushan Sir as he has always trusted me and always given me the creative reigns on this project with no questions asked. I am very happy that Kartik, bhumi and Ananya also gave me their full support in my dream and vision for the film.

It has always been very fulfilling  to work with Bushanji  because he always gives respect and dignity not only to me but also to every individual working on the project. I’m also happy to say that PPAW is just the beginning. BR Studios and T-Series will be partnering on many more films in the future.”
